Why I started Jhakaas Gaadi

I started Jhakaas Gaadi because of problems I faced as a car owner myself. Getting into a dusty car in clean clothes. Waiting in line at washing centres. Watching daily water washing quietly rust the chassis — the one part of a car you can't replace.

Clean is not only about looks. Dust in the corners of the cabin gets pulled back through the AC vents, and we breathe it. A dirty windshield, mirror or rear glass turns oncoming headlights into glare at night. That's why our cleaners use separate cloths for glass, body, tyres and the cabin — hygiene and visibility first.

I also saw engines give up long before they should — because of small, cheap things. Oil that thickens while a car sits unused. Water poured in where coolant should go. Brake pads worn down until they damage the disc. Tyres run at the wrong pressure in the rain. Every check we do is about catching the cheap problem before it becomes an expensive one.

Bengaluru is short of water. Waterless cleaning is my small contribution — no water, no wet basements.
